A wreath is a super easy and fun way to add color to your front door. This DIY wreath is almost completely free to make! The only thing you might need to buy is the string.

Here is what you will need to make your own wreath

Sticks from your yard
Flowers, you can use wild flowers or buy some
and some string or twine. I used this

Tip: The thinner the stick is the easier it is to use.

I chose to make a circled wreath, but letter or numbers would be cute also.
First, place the sticks in the shape you want your wreath.
this is just a rough draft of what your basic shape will look like.
Notice mine is not a circle, yet

For security, I tied mine with a piece of string so I could work with it easier.

Now build onto it.
Add sticks to make the wreath more full.
Tip: If you soak your sticks in water they will bend easier

When you have the thickness you want go around and tie the sticks so they are secure.
Hold the wreath up and look for any sticks that might be loose.

Add in your flowers.
I deiced to use a few fake succulents. I just pushed them through the sticks, and tied a little loop around them for extra security.
I also got some leaves off of a tree and just weaved them through the sticks.

You can add way more flowers or greenery to yours for a fuller look. Mine is more simple, but I like it. You could also use hot glue to put your decorations on if you can't secure them with string.
I hope this was helpful and that you are inspired to make a beautiful spring wreath!
Things are better made than bought.
Let me know how it turned out of if you are planning on making one in the comments
