Sometimes gift giving can be hard, but you're in luck. Here is a list of homemade gifts anyone would love to receive.
I don't know about you but I personally would rather be given a gift that someone I love made. It makes me feel so special knowing that someone took time to sit down with me in mind to make me something they think I would enjoy. To me that is so much more meaningful than getting the latest gadget. Not that getting new things isn't nice, I just like sentimental things more.
This Christmas I have been thinking about what I can give to my loved ones that would show I appreciate and cherish them. I have came up with a few gifts that come from the heart and not your wallet.

Bath Baskets

Who doesn't like relaxing in a warm bath before bed? You could whip up a bath basket for the perfect Christmas gift. Find a cute basket and put:

Bath Bombs

Picture
Bath bombs have been a super popular item the past few years and for a good reason. Not only do they make you smell and feel great, if they are infused with essential oils they can be beneficial to your overall health.
I recommend the Etsy shop  LauraBotanicals
For beautifully made bath bombs

Candles

Who doesn't love candles?
These hand poured candles by Elder & Co are by far my favorite candles.
They last so long and smell amazing. They are unique and perfect to gift to anyone in your family.
They are defiantly on my wish list this year.
Get your candles here!

Sugar Scrub

Sugar Scrubs can benefit you in many ways.
I love how soft and smooth it leaves you feeling.
It is like having your own spa day any time you use it.
I am so excited to try HonestRootsFarm's sugar scrubs, especially the coffee scrub. Get yourself some before it's gone!

Pictures

I've never met a grandparent or parent that doesn't like having family pictures to look at. There are so many fun ways to display and gift photos that almost anyone would love.

Photo on wood

www.doneblonde.com homemade Christmas gifts
it's easier than you think.
all you need is
piece of wood
Gesso
A non-glossy photo
ModPodge

To prepare your canvas (your wood) apply a coat of Gesso. This will allow the photo to adhere better.
If you have a rough gain wood sand it down first.
let the gesso completely dry and then position your photo on the wood how you want it.
Simply paint the modpodge over your picture and let it dry. Be careful to not tear your picture and try to keep it as smooth as possible to avoid air bumps.
Let the modpodge dry and you should have a completed picture on a wooden canvas. You can take a wood pen or a sharpie and write on or over your picture for a more personal touch.
This is a super affordable and easy way to give someone you love a meaningful gift.

Pictures in a jar

Picture
A unique and easy way to display pictures.
Find a cute jar,
grab a photo you like
position the photo how you want and fill the jar with olive oil.
These are great to put on shelves or use as center pieces on a table.

String art

With a few nails and yarn you could make cute wall decor that would look great almost anywhere in the home. The best part about this is you can totally customize what you want on it. If you aren't good at drawing, print a picture off and trace it!
Or buy one from StrawberryScraftsUS

Customize coffee mugs

Picture
It is actually really simple to customize a coffee mug. Find a plain mug you like, draw or trace a design on it that you like with sharpies, when you are satisfied with your design use a foam brush and coat the cup with gloss finish mod podge. If the cup is intended for drinking make sure you leave the rim clean from ink and mod podge. Of course this technique works well on plates and bowls alike!
Shutterfly.com  is not a small business but it also has a lot of great ways to personalize gifts.
I gift a calendar every year to my in-laws.
They have everything form calendars to blankets- if you want a picture on it they probably have it.
Get creative this year, give gifts with meaning. If you don't want to personally make the gift I encourage you to shop Etsy.com or other local shops. It is important to support small business, for most it is their lively hood and most of the time the quality is better than if it was manufactured.
I hope you have a great Christmas season and know it isn't about the gifts.
If you know someone who might like this please do not hesitate to share this with them, and thank you for reading and supporting this little blog!

Thank you! My best friend use to have a bunch of pictures in a jar like this on her headboard and I loved it! The oil magnifies the pictures so it looks really cool.
